The following is a poem written by one of our lovely patients for our service dog Jeremiah!

I often ask myself the question

As I go to God in prayer

Be the matter great or small

Why can't I leave it there?

You would think I would remember

That God's mercy and love of me

Will bring the perfect answer

That I could never foresee.

Yesterday, I broke a tooth

Another problem in hectic days

How to find the money

Already stretched so many ways.

I felt tired and angry

My nerves began to fray

I could only surrender

Lord, help me through this day.

He always has a suprise in store

His blessings never end

He calms the path before me

And surrounds me with a friend.

This time, the friend was a beautiful dog

His presence sent my spirits higher

I stroked his coat, he kissed my nose

Thank you, God, for Jeremiah.
